چکیده
Abstract The interfacial stress in a carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) plate for strengthening the top flange of box-girder bridge was theoretically investigated. According to force analysis results structure, most unfavorable area selected modeling analysis. Using simplified beam model, CFRP plate-concrete interfacial-stress calculation model derived, and closed-form solution obtained. Equivalent test specimens were designed according structure verify reliability theoretical model. Then, four-point bending tests sample performed. In these tests, debonding failure modes strain examined. calculated data experimental tests. Then compared with results. Furthermore, corresponding stresses different load levels specified code. A series comparisons performed proposed CFRP-concrete

Behavior of Coupling Beams Strengthened with Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer Sheets
In this research, using the results of 6 tests, the effect of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) sheets on the behavior of reinforced concrete coupling beams of shear walls is studied. First, in the experimental part of the study, four coupling beams with different reinforcements were manufactured and tested. Then, after the failure of the specimens, two of them were rehabilitated and stren...

This paper presents a computational framework for optimal design of non-prismatic reinforced concrete box girder bridges. The variables include the geometry of the cross section, tapered length, concrete strength and reinforcement of box girders and slabs. These are obtained by the enhanced colliding bodies optimization algorithm to optimizing the cost and again CO2 emission. Loading and design...
متن کاملSelf-Healing of Interfacial Debonding in Fiber-Reinforced Polymers and Effect of Microstructure on Strength Recovery
This study focuses on the optimizing the microstructure to improve the efficiency for healing interfacial debonding in fiber-reinforced polymers (FRPs). Healing is accomplished by incorporating a microcapsulated healing agent and catalytic chemical trigger within a coating layer on the surface of the fiber strands. Self-healing is demonstrated on flat tensile specimens of unidirectional FRPs. T...

متن کاملCriteria for Progressive Interfacial Debonding with Friction in Fiber-reinforced Ceramic Composites
Criteria for progressive debonding at the fiber/mattix interface with friction along the debonded interface are considered for fiber-reinfoxed ceramic composites. The energy-based criterion is adopted to analyze the debond length, the crack-opening displacement, and the displacement of the composite due to interfacial debonding. The analytical solutions are identical to those obtained from the ...
